My September book tour found me traveling the state of Michigan for many engagments.

Grosse Pointe's Senior Men's Club invited me to speak at their luncheon meeting on the shoreline of Lake St. Clair.

This month I will hike Isle Royale once again as part of a Moosewatch Expedition. And I was able to book speaking engagements before and after my time on Isle Royale.

The first leg of my tour took me to three states in four days:

On a trip to visit family in Atlanta, I had an invitation to speak to the retirement community where my mom lives.

I had a great time with family.

September was a busy book tour month.

And it ended with a blitz of 4 events in 2 days!

I was pleased to return to two senior groups in the Grand Rapids area. I had given my 

Great Lakes Walk presentation previously, but they asked me to return to give my 

Great Lakes Islands talk!

First Book Tour Events for my Great Lakes ISLANDS Book

My newest book hit the shelves of select indie bookstores on May 1, and my book tour took off!

My first event was a book signing at the 

Nature Connection of Kalamazoo 

during May's Art Hop.

What fun talking to everyone who stopped by my table! 

Then I headed to Literati Bookstore in Ann Arbor to give my dynamic presentation about the islands of the Great Lakes.

The month of April has been busy!

I finished the final edits on the manuscript for my new book...

...gave several lectures about my second adventure exploring all five Great Lakes...

I had a wonderful time touring this year with my book:

November found me traveling to South Haven for the "Women's Only Weekend" where I gave a presentation at the Michigan Maritime Museum.

I also gave a talk in Plainfield, Michigan, just NE of Grand Rapids. There were nearly 100 seniors and other citizens from that community who came out to hear about my adventure!

My last appearance for 2013 was out in Saugatuck, Michigan. I took some time to get to the edge of Lake Michigan and to feel the power of 

the waves and wind!

My book tour is taking shape for next year. I will have a limited touring schedule since I will be on my Great Lakes ISLAND Adventure most of the year, but I am currently booking engagements for April and May, 2014.

Tales from the Book Tour: 4 Events in 4 Days!

I traveled Michigan's midsection this week touring with my book. It's always fun to meet people who care about our Great Lakes!  I had events in Glen Arbor, Alpena, Big Rapids and East Tawas.
