While on Mackinac Island, I had time to explore the new art museum there (in the renovated barracks building on the edge of Marquette Park).
I was captivated by these very early maps of the Great Lakes region.
Imagine trying to draw a map of a region you have canoed through over many months. The detail achieved is amazing and you can see the progression to what we can all access on Google Earth on a whim.
The Great Lakes Region has completely captivated me and I will soon announce my NEXT adventure, one I will undertake next year.
