I got out to the lake yesterday in time to see the sun balance on the lake for a moment before extinguishing itself.
The waves were gently curling onto the sandy beach, grumbling and rumbling.
This week I read a report about how much industrial waste is legally dumped into the Great Lakes yearly. In 2007, it was 460 million pounds.
Maybe it's time we pulled back on that and worked toward protecting our lakes.
Hey, over 40 million people get their drinking water from the lakes, so maybe that, alone, is reason enough to tighten up regulations.
What, no green flash?!
