Revisiting the Lake Trek: Segment 10!

This segment spanned the final 102 miles between Milwaukee and Chicago. It took me 6 days to hike.

A crowd gathered at the end of Navy Pier to greet me at the end of my Lake Trek of 1,000 miles. I'll always cherish that moment when a cheer went up as I reached the end of this adventure. A huge thanks to friends and family and people who just love Lake Michigan who celebrated the completion of my Lake Trek.

  1. Congratulations on your lake trek! What an awesome accomplishment! You must be very proud of it...

I live along the shores of Lake Superior and just wrote a blog about a couple who is walking around Lake Superior: http://upwoods.wordpress.com/2010/05/29/how-bout-a-1600-mile-hike-around-lake-superior/

Pamela Grath put a link on my blog comments telling about your adventure.

What are you planning to do next??

  2. Kathy,

I heard about this intrepid couple. That is some WILD land up there and I wish them well! When people asked me if I'd do Lake Superior next, I would answer "Have you been up there?!"

I recently finished the manuscript about my Lake Michigan adventure, so writing that was an adventure in itself!

I'm sure I'll venture out into the wild at some point in the future, but I'm not sure where it will be.

Thanks for telling me about your blog. Some great photos there.

    All the best,
    -Loreen.
